1. Information we collect

• Your email address, only if you give it to us to receive the Budget Basics PDF.
• Your nickname and score, only if you submit them to the Financial IQ leaderboard.

Numbers you type into our calculators stay in your browser. We never receive them.

2. How we use your information

• To deliver what you asked for (the PDF, your leaderboard entry).
• To run and maintain the site.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

We never sell your email address.

3. Newsletter

Our newsletter, Money and Technology Simply Explained, is hosted on Substack. Links and prompts on this site simply take you there — we do not collect your email address for the newsletter, and we never pass an address to Substack on your behalf. If you subscribe, you do so on Substack directly, and Substack becomes the controller of that subscription under its own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe from any issue.

4. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Just email privacy@moneyscale.app and we'll take care of it.

5. Data security

We use standard industry measures to protect the limited data we store. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep things simple and minimal so there's not much to protect in the first place.

6. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide the service or to meet legal requirements. When it's no longer needed, we delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this policy, we'll post the updated version here and refresh the "Last updated" date above.
